Just as expected, Archos has sent out invites to an event on September 15th. in Paris regarding something Android-y. We think it will be a tablet complete with internet, phone, e-mail and apps, based on comments from their Northern Europe Managing Director. The unnamed device is rumoured to be packing a 5-inch screen, HSPA connectivity, 500MB of storage, be 10mm thick, support HD movie playback and run on an 800MHz TI OMAP 3440 CPU. It sounds like a beefy piece of hardware, and certainly a nice option for the media-hungry. Unfortunately, it seems unlikely that it’ll run on North American HSPA bands since we’re looking at a lot of European sources. Zut, alors.
