HP has just launched a new range in the Photosmart printer line, which feature improved wireless support for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The new printers include the HP Photosmart C4680, HP Photosmart, HP Photosmart with Wireless, HP Photosmart Plus and HP Photosmart Premium.
HP notes that the new series has ‘transformed the printer from a functional device to a fun and creative platform that the whole family can engage with’. Thanks for the fuzzy feel-good message HP
Tight integration for iPhone and iPod Touch users can be achieved by downloading the HP iPrint Photo app. With it, you can use the new Photosmart range to print out 4×6 photos stored on your device. Pop open the app, browse your photo albums and pictures, select a picture and hit the ‘print’ option. That’s it. Easy.
The new Photosmart Printers should be available come October. In the meantime you can still use existing HP printer technology together with the HP iPrint Photo app to print out hundreds of pictures in 4×6 brilliance.
Note: You can check out the HP iPrint Photo app in the App Store (iTunes link). No worries, it’s a free download.
