LAS VEGAS–Year after year Sony is one of the big names introducing a slew of new TVs, handheld devices, and other gadgets here at the Consumer Electronics Show. And CES 2012 will be no exception.
The company is expected to be pushing 3D and Internet-enabled TVs. It’s also likely to announce a number of deals with content providers for those so-called “Smart TVs.” It may also have a mix of movie studio news, and other gadget news.
But the biggest news at the company’s press conference will likely be surrounding Sony’s soon-to-be released hand-held gaming system, the Playstation Vita. The new gaming device hit the Japanese market in December. And it will be coming to the U.S. market in February. The company is expected to make several announcements around the Playstation Vita and will likely have some hands-on time with the device at its press conference early Monday evening.
