Well we all know that O2 has lost its exclusive in the UK for the iPhone 3GS – now, most of the other Operators are getting in on the act. However, it would transpire the same fate has occurred for the Carphone Warehouse, according to Pocket-lint.com.
Now it is going to be that both Phones4U (another popular high street retailer of mobile devices) and also HMV (ostensibly a music shop) are also going to be carrying the iPhone. Specifically, Phones4U will sell the iPhone on O2 and Orange, and HMV will carry the iPhone on an in-store deal with Orange, in selected stores.
Currently the thinking is that Orange will start selling the iPhone in mid-November, and Vodafone (the other confirmed carrier) will begin at some point in 2010.
