Seesmic for BlackBerry Updated with Google Maps, Pic Previews, and BIS-B Connectivity

Seesmic’s BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) twitter client has been updated yet again, this time with such goodies as Google (NSDQ: GOOG) Maps thumbnails for geotagged tweets, previews of smaller attached pics, official retweets (along with a handy quote option if you still want to edit the text), and the ability to remotely delete tweets. Specifically helpful to BlackBerry users is BIS-B connectivity, so you can get access to twitter no matter how your phone gets online. There’s still no sign of integration with Ping.fm just yet, but I’m sure functions that allow you to update across multiple social networks at once are coming in good time. Between UberTwitter, SocialScope, and even an official Twitter app from RIM, Seesmic is up for some stiff competition in the long run, but hopefully their extensive experience in browser and PC-based twitter clients will pay off.
