True to last week’s rumors, Hulu today unveiled a new subscription tier called Hulu Plus which allows users access to Hulu across a broader spectrum of devices, not just limiting consumption to PC screens.
Select Samsung Internet-connected TVs and Blu-ray players can download a Hulu Plus application from the Samsung app store and start streaming Hulu Plus today, and iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod Touch, and iPad users can download the Hulu Plus app to stream content over 3G or Wi-Fi as well.
Will you buy an Apple iPhone 4?
Friday, June 11, 2010 2:20 No CommentsBy Joe Wilcox, Betanews
Surely no one who regularly reads Betanews is surprised I ask the question. It was inevitable, like death or Whopper Wednesday. As usual, when I ask this kind of question, I’m looking for your responses — in comments or by e-mail (joewilcox at gmail dot com). In a future post, I’ll share your responses as I did with iPad. I asked the “will you buy” iPad question here and here, and offered your answers in separate January and March posts.
Pattern emerges for Nexus One 3G problems, points to baseband firmware
Tuesday, January 12, 2010 20:20 No CommentsBy Scott M. Fulton, III, Betanews
In an effort to minimize the apparent scope of the problem faced by at least a sizable plurality of Nexus One customers this week, Google has issued a statement to the press. It essentially acknowledges what we’ve all seen with our eyes, that users are experiencing widespread 3G connectivity issues, but it offers no information as to what measures are being taken to address those concerns.
T-Mobile introduces Nokia 3711 clamshell phone for the budget conscious
Thursday, November 12, 2009 19:20 No Comments
So who isn’t budget conscious in these times? Well, excluding those lucky-buckies who raised their hands, the Nokia 3711 from T-Mobile suits the more uneasy wallets to the T. By just retaining the basic functionalities – QVGA screen, 2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, FM radio and microSD memory slot in a neat clamshell. Though T-Mobile’s AWS 3G comes included, features such as GPS, picture-messaging and email may cost you more than what’s on the deal offered. Which happens to be a really affordable .99 on a basic Even More plan. Or for the more optimistic is the alternative Even More Plus plan at 9.99.
XShot iPhone case packs in a tripod adapter around your iPhone

Here’s an iPhone case that does a teeny bit more than just snuggle around your iPhone. The XShot iPhone case (3G and 3GS) wraps around your phone to protect and exposes a 1/4″ thread tripod mount to snap a few pictures, all at once. Though the case has been designed for the XShot tripods, it works with any other tripod or monopod as well. Your iPhone itself will be safely nestled within the chrome plastic case while you are shooting.
Super charger for iPhone delivers a 3000mAh punch, and a hole in your carry bag

Okay, that was an exaggeration. But really, the first statement that caught my eyes as they rolled over the specs for this iPhone charger called iPa was the line “Super Capacity – 3000mAh, make your iPhone as a whole day parter.” Though it took me a long while to recover from the initial blow that the name delivered (who would think of calling it “iPa”?!), it took me even longer to understand the above statement.

Saturday, September 26, 2009 0:20 No CommentsAs AT&T promised, iPhone 3G and 3G S users today gained the ability to send Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) messages.
To enable MMS, users must first have iPhone OS 3.1 installed, and then the AT&T carrier update v5.5 which is installed through iTunes. Once the update is in place, phones must be rebooted, and then the Messages app will feature a camera icon in the lower left corner, which triggers multimedia messages to be sent.

It is probably the most whispered device in the geek blogosphere, and we wouldn’t be exaggerating if we were to place it right behind the recent Apple event, in the order of importance. Only because the placement happens to be quite literal – the iTwinge is the world’s first keyboard designed to work with the iPhone 3G and 3GS. Now you see?
