TweetPhoto makes it easy to share
Tuesday, March 9, 2010 6:20 No Comments
If you’re looking for an iPhone application to share photos across your social networks, you may want to give TweetPhoto a roll.
The site just got an overhaul – which prominently features photos of the Full House cast – and this new iPhone app makes it pretty simple to share pictures across Twitter, MySpace, Facebook, or Foursquare accounts. I downloaded the free app TweetPhoto Pro and it looks pretty good: it has a clean interface that makes it quick to scan your friends’ photo streams, as well as public or popular photos. Signing up is easy, and TechCrunch says we can expect versions for Android and BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) soon enough.

Sprintboard lets jailbroken iPhone users browse through app screens faster
Tuesday, February 9, 2010 13:20 No Comments
Sprintboard is a neat little app, which I believe should come bundled with the iPhone/Mac OS. Basically, it allows users to swipe over the dotted area, right above the dock icons, to move between the screens faster. You can think about it as the alphabet bar within Contacts – sliding your finger over the dots will take you to the screen you want. It’s that easy, and as I said, it should come standard with the iPhone/iPod Touch now that we have so many apps (and therefore so many screens) installed on our devices.
Get an Apple iPad NOW (kinda)

Are you having trouble coping with the reality of not having one of Apple (NSDQ: AAPL)’s “magical” iPads in your hands? Rather than sweat through the next couple months in want of the slick tablet device, you can try to trick your desires into submission with a DIY iPad. It’ll be made of paper and no more useful to you than any other placebo, but it might just be enough to help you sleep at night.
Apple censors ‘Android’ from iPhone AppStore
Monday, February 8, 2010 2:20 No Comments
The iPhone AppStore has and always will be controlled Apple (NSDQ: AAPL)’s iron-fisted app approval team, which is fine, because that usually means iPhone users can expect reliable and high quality apps. But, when Apple uses its control over the AppStore to censor more than just “adult” content, it starts to feel a little Big Brother-ish. Finding itself directly at odds with Google (NSDQ: GOOG)’s Android platform, Apple has reportedly prohibited an iPhone app from mentioning “Android” in the app’s description. The Flash of Genius iPhone app’s description wasn’t obscene or erotic in any way, it just happened to mention Google’s Android Development Challenge.

Hands-on with TweetCaster for Android
Thursday, January 28, 2010 21:20 No CommentsThose who say there are no decent Twitter apps for Android simply haven’t found the right one. When the Android Market first opened, you could sign in, watch the handful of new apps being uploaded every day, and generally know everything that was available on the platform. There really were only a couple of Twitter clients.
But now that the Market has been revised, and there are more than 25,000 apps by the last unofficial count from Androlib, there are plenty of Android Twitter clients to choose from.

Following its not-so-subtle exile from the AppStore, the Google (NSDQ: GOOG) Voice app VoiceCentral will soon make a return to the iPhone as a new web-app. VoiceCentral developer Riverturn calls their reincarnated app the VoiceCentral Black Swan Edition. Okay, so maybe it won’t be called “Screw Apple (NSDQ: AAPL)” edition, but the return of VoiceCentral to the iPhone is clearly a middle finger in Apple’s general direction. In early 2010, Riverturn will go live with their web-based app, which integrates all of Google Voice’s features with the iPhone in ways that the Google Voice mobile website just can’t.
