Toshiba Regza tablet is already being marketed in Japan.

Toshiba claims it is going to introduce the world’s thinnest 10-inch tablet at the Consumer Electronics Show next week in Las Vegas.

The company’s Japanese-language Web site says it’s the thinnest and lightest 10.1-inch tablet in the world.

Though Toshiba’s not revealing a model number, it’s probably a good bet that the mystery tablet is one already available in Japan: the Regza AT700. Or the very similar Toshiba Excite, slated to appear in in the U.S. later this month.

We’ve seen our fair share of iPad stands over the past year or so, but the ones that catch our eye most are those which are the most simple and easy to use. This 4Tablet stand from grossii in Japan may look a little too basic, but it leans your tablet at four different kinds of angles, making it ideal for every watching scenario!

Available from grossii for 2,480 Y.

If you look hard enough you’ll probably find a USB stick in every shape, size and color. There are those shaped like animals, body parts, pieces of food… You name it, someone has most probably created a USB stick in the shape of it.

So, it’s good to see a USB stick (or pen, or drive, or memory device, or whatever you prefer) that’s actually functional as well as being a little bit cute and quirky.

Hyper Ping Pong game doesn’t need a screen or a ball

The Hyper Ping Pong game is pretty unique in that you don’t need a screen, ball or even an opponent to be able to play it. In fact all you really need is a specially designed paddle with a built-in motion sensor and speaker. You simply ‘play’ table tennis by listening to the fake ping pong ball sounds and then swing the paddle when the ball supposedly bounces on the table in front of you, which is what earns you points.

Teleportation has been rife in sci-fi fiction for years. Look at the way the Star Trek team casually teleport themselves around the galaxy on a near hourly basis, or the devastating effects of teleportation on Seth Brundle in Cronenburg’s 1986 classic The Fly.

But, it’s something that scientists here in the real world have yet to master, much to the dismay of those who have to sit in heavy traffic every morning as part of their daily commute, or people who can’t stand to travel by plane.
