iBamboo speaker is electricity-free

iBamboo speaker is electricity-free

ibamboo-speaker.jpg

We love the concept behind the iBamboo, a speaker for Apple devices that doesn’t use any electricity. Instead, the foot long piece of bamboo reverberates noises out of the two different ends to amplify them, so it sounds like your phone is actually plugged into speakers.

Granted the sound quality isn’t amazing, but it’s an innovative idea and will definitely be a hit among those that prefer natural looking accessories to anything too modern. Unfortunately the iBamboo isn’t available to purchase quite yet, but you can read more about it on Kickstarter.

By Ed Oswald, Betanews

Amongst all the other things that Verizon and AT&T can lob at each other in the ever increasingly bitter battle for iPhone subscribers is this: Mean download speed for iPhone 4 on AT&T is twice that on Verizon. This is according to Metrico Wireless, a Maryland-based independent wireless performance research firm. That said, Web pages load in about the same amount of time on iPhone 4’s running on either network.

Serio glass loudspeakers from Waterfall Audio can blend into a bookshelf or a wall

Serio glass loudspeakers from Waterfall Audio can blend into a bookshelf or a wall

waterfall-serio-speakers.jpg

Good-looking, minimalist speakers made exclusively from glass and aluminium, and carrying versatile placement options – summarizes the latest Serio speakers released by Waterfall Audio.

Waterfall quotes a 150Watt peak power, with 30-80Watts recommended amplifier for the 2.25 Lbs (each) Serio speakers which can apparently deliver exceptional sound quality thanks to their patented “Acoustic Damping Tube” system. The speakers are compatible with both Hi-Fi and AV applications and use a patented heat dissipation technique which can effectively withstand and handle high power levels – thereby giving the option to place the speakers even within the frugal space granted on your bookshelf. But ofcourse, other placement options are available too – hang them on a wall, or just place them on a convenient stand and they are good to go.
