After the vote by Internet, the Estonians will go further in the dematerialization of the act of voting by authorizing the vote from a mobile phone before 2011.
Estonia, this small Baltic member country of the European Union, is the first state in the world allowing voting through Internet, but it plans to go even further and after the e-voting, soon the m-voting will be authorized, or voting from a mobile phone.
The Parliament indeed voted for a law this week authorizing this practice from 2011, confirming its strong involvement in the field of new technologies (we sometimes name the country e-Stonia), and this six years after the first Estonian elections integrating the vote from the Web.
