Some wily coders have found a pre-alpha on-screen keyboard for the Palm (NSDQ: PALM) Pre hidden within webOS. Both portrait and landscape versions of the native keyboard are available, and work for every app and every field. It doesn’t seem like that much of a hassle to slide out the physical keyboard on the Palm Pre, but maybe there’s the occasional instance where you just don’t want to bother. The virtual keyboard still in very early development, but a downloadable patch is available if you want to get on the bleeding edge – just be sure you know what you’re doing.
